Screening and Hiring
We take our responsibility to families seriously. That’s why we have a thorough hiring process to ensure each team member meets the highest standards.
All of our care providers must comply with Illinois state law requirements, including:
- A fingerprinted background check
- Verification on the Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry
- Certification from an Illinois-approved training program
- CPR and First Aid Certification
In addition, we personally interview each applicant and check professional references. We’re looking for character as much as credentials, because kindness and integrity matter just as much as experience.
Training and Support
Once hired, you’ll receive orientation and ongoing training so you’re fully equipped and confident in the important work you’ll be doing. Topics include:
- Dementia care strategies
- Safe transfers and mobility support
- Communication and de-escalation skills
- Fall prevention and home safety
- Proper documentation and care coordination
